J.G. Gaston & Associates was established in 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia to provide actuarial and benefit consulting services.
The firm was founded to provide responsive, professional services to small and mid-sized organizations that face unique plan design and legal requirement issues.
In 1994, the firm was relocated to Asheville, North Carolina. Today, J.G. Gaston & Associates provides actuarial services to more than 100 retirement, disability and post-retirement medical plans annually. Plan sizes range from one to 3,500 participants.
Our mission is to provide timely and responsive actuarial consulting services marked by integrity, an understanding of our clients’ needs, and the desire to continue in mutually-beneficial, long-term client relationships.
Our primary service region consists of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Arkansas, and Georgia.
J.G. Gaston & Associates is a fee-for-service only firm. Restricting our income to fee-for-service allows us to maintain our independence and objectivity.
